Nebraska State Flags

Nebraska's flag shows off its state seal.  There is a picture of the transcontinental railroad which was built westward from Omaha beginning in 1865.  The state motto and date of admission are also shown.  Additionally shown is a blacksmith, wheat fields and a settler's cabin.  Nebraska is known as the Tree Planters State because Arbor Day was founded there is 1872.
