American Samoa Flag

American Samoa's flag uses red, white and blue colors borrowed from the American flag.  The bald eagle, an American symbol of strength, is also pictured.  A Samoan symbol of a ceremonial dancing knife lends individually to the flag.  American Samoa has been a territory of the United States since 1900.
