The national flag of Croatia has three equal horizontal stripes in red, white and blue with the coat of arms of Croatia superimposed directly in the middle of the flag.  The coat of arms shows one main shield (a checkerboard of 13 red and 12 silver white fields) topped by five smaller shields that form a crown over the main shield.
